Marie Curie Cancer Care is a UK charity dedicated to the care of people with terminal cancer and other illnesses. Over the financial year 2010/11, they reached a total of 31,799 patients.

Marie Curie is best known for its network of 2,000 Marie Curie Nurses, who work in the homes of terminally ill patients across the UK, providing practical care and support. Over the year, their nurses provided 1.2 million hours of nursing to 23,406 patients, along with support for their families. They also provide, Marie Curie Hospices, they are the biggest provider of hospice beds outside the NHS, Marie Curie Cancer Care is a leader in research into the best ways of caring for people with terminal illnesses and they campaign for more patients to be able to be cared for and die in their place of choice. http://www.mariecurie.org.uk/
