Easter Offer

I love Easter-time as for me it reminds me of all the positive aspects of Life Coaching and springtime. It moves on from death into new growth and because of all this new growth the animals start reproducing to maximise the opportunities of great abundance.

Easter-time and Life Coaching are full of energy, opportunities and new growth. Most people are excited when Easter-time arrives as it brings with it new life in all its forms and I always feel the same excitement when I am coaching my clients. Usually when a client comes to me for coaching they have been doing the same old routines a bit like the living dead.

Easter-time usually is accompanied by sunshine which brings out the best in people, it invigorates, it warms, and it lifts human spirits and provides the energy and impetus to take action. Life coaching does the same, it brings out the best in people, it energises clients, it lifts their spirits and confidence and it gives them the impetus to take action. It warms both the client’s and the coach’s hearts.

I love Easter-time and I love Life Coaching as both of them encourage growth and potential and I want to encourage you to grow to your potential so I have put together this Easter offer to inspire you to become the best you can be, so that others can, because of you.

On 9th November 2015, the International Institute of Coaching and Mentoring (IIC&M) are launching the Global Mentoring week, in celebration of the leaders that bring ideas to life, and expand human potential.
During this week in November, the IIC&M will inspire mentors everywhere, through local national and international activities designed to educate, empower, collaborate and engage. We will be introducing a wider network to new possibilities and exciting opportunities.
This is the first of it’s kind, and one that we trust will grow from strength to strength in the coming years.
Are you a leader, a senior manager, then you too are a mentor. There are over 2500 categories we have identified where mentors play a part in sharing their expertise with their teams. We have mentors from Sporting, Education, Finance, Property and many more taking part in the week.
Are you already working with formal or informal mentor(s) or planning to do so? The IIC&M can help you with (accredited) mentor selection, mentor education and accreditation of your (informal) mentors. http://www.iicandm.org/

Autumn Appraisal

Tags: , , , , , , Personal Success

wooden-road As I march my way through autumn, I realise the year has galloped away with me and I have not achieved all the things I started out to achieve. Now normally I would start to beat myself up about this lack of commitment to goals and achieving them. After all said and done, as life coaches we promote the setting of and achieving of goals as the mainstay of our activities as coaches. So how come I am not getting upset Read More

SELF DIAGNOSTIC BOX

In line with my own definition of good health, where am I now?

I realise this seems a strange thing to ask you to consider. The reason I ask is because we are all at different levels of health and for some of us good health would just mean being able to walk up the street without getting out of breath. For others it means being full of energy. You need to determine your own definition of health before you will know if you have it or not. Spend some time thinking about the answer and write it down in your note book.

Time For Your Passions?

Time is your most important commodity. There, I have said it. You cannot afford to waste any time because it is not refundable. You cannot mortgage it or borrow it from someone else. You are given the same amount every day and, at the end of the day, it has gone.

Everyone has the same amount, it is what you do with it that is the important part. I am not suggesting that you currently waste time deliberately; it’s just that, as a business owner, you can easily become involved in the details and gradually create unhealthy processes, procedures and politics. These all absorb your time unproductively. Read More

The Easiest & Most Effective Relationship Tip In Difficult Situations

This is a great tip that I use when confronted with difficult situations. It is the simplest technique you will learn in the Personal Success Handbook and yet it is one of the most powerful ones. It is called Low ‘n’ slow, and all you need to do is to speak in a very low tone and at a slower pace.

If you lower you tone by one or two levels you will disarm the situation. Determine your level of speaking normally and mark the level out of 10, where 10 is shouting and 0 is not speaking. Practice going up and down the scale until you know what number you speak at normally. Now all you do is lower your voice one to two levels. For example if you find your normal voice tone is level six on your scale then during confrontation or conflict, lower your tone by two levels. Use the same technique for your speed of speaking, with level 10 being nearly garbled it is so fast and 0 is not speaking. Read More
